We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dongkyu Na as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. His research focuses on the sociocultural, political, and managerial dimensions of sport, with particular emphasis on four areas: (1) sport and development, (2) sport policy and politics, (3) international sport, and (4) interdisciplinary research. Drawing on an educational background in political science, business administration, and sport, he explores how these areas intersect and contribute to diversity in both research and teaching. He has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics, International Review for the Sociology of Sport, and The International Journal of the History of Sport. His work also appears in scholarly books such as Sport in Korea: Culture, Politics and Policy, the Routledge Handbook of the Global South in Sport for Development and Peace, and The Status and Direction of Global Korean Studies: Korean Studies of Identity Politics and Public Diplomacy.
